Leticia Semana Jose
My name is Leticia Jose, Filipina, married and presently working in Tokyo, Japan as a Nanny/Housekeeper. My mother is a housewife and my father was a farmer. I am the 4th of the seven children in the family. We are from poor family but my parents tried all their best to bring us up and to send us to school. I finished my Bachelor in Science in Business Administration major in Accounting. I took up the Accountancy Review course so as to take the board examination for Accountancy but unfortunately I was not able to make it. May be God has different plan for me in the future. |
When I was young my ambition was to go abroad. That someday I can help my parents with my younger brother and sisters in their schooling to pursue their studies too. God is so good and my dreams come true. After a year of working as Sales Supervisor in Manila, I went to Singapore and work as Domestic helper and babysitter. It was not hard for me to adjust myself to the job though it is my first time because since I was at 7 years old I am trained to do the household chores already.
After 2 years, I went to Taiwan with same kind of job until over ten years of hard work. It is a very memorable country that I lived because here I met my husband. I kept working until we finally planned going back home after long, long years of working. I love life living “ABROAD”, so me and my husband planned to go to Australia and luck was really so good and we made it again and we work in Sydney for almost 5 years. I considered myself lucky because wherever country I wanted to go, God always give me the opportunity. I told my husband if we can try to go to Japan and fortunately we were able to make it again.
I am not blessed that I don’t have my own children but I have my nephew 12 years old and my niece 10 years old and I considered them as our own children. They live with us and supported them since they started nursery school up to now. I love and cared them so much and I assured you that I haven’t made a mistake in choosing them and my mission and upbringing of children was that very thing I’d like to engage in. I like very much spending my free time with friends singing and listening to music. I love cooking too and prefer to cook own food rather that eating at some restaurant. My life abroad is a long journey and my experience from different countries and from different employers made me more confident to find a new employer in Canada and it would be my great pleasure to work and willing to give my service to the best that I can. |
